SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE MAY LUSH KITCHEN BOX
This month’s theme for the subscription box was “12 Months of Kitchen”

I really like this month’s subscription box. It has three retro products I was keen to try, a brand new product and swag even though it includes the one item I didn’t vote for.

The bag is a nice white, green and black Kitchen branded tote bag. I think I’ll keep it in my handbag as a reusable shopping bag.

Avoshower is a a thick green shower gel that smells like the Avobath bath bomb, with a little hint of the sherbet-y Avocado Co-wash scent. Really zingy! Has lemongrass, bergamot and avocado as its strongest ingredients.

Roller is a bath bomb I’ve wanted to try for a while. The original bomb was discontinued before my time at Lush. I loved the scent in the Love Locket 2020 and really missed it this past Valentines when Lush switched it from Roller to The Comforter. I have recently gone off the (now discontinued) body spray though as the artificial-like undertone has become overpowering yet this is not as bad in bath bomb products and I get so much more of the sweetness. The fair trade organic cocoa butter in this also makes me excited to try it. It smells wonderful in the box!

Yuzu and Cocoa is one of my favourite Lush scents and to have the bubbleroon return is like a wish come true. I was so sad to hear that my beloved Yuzu and Cocoa bath bomb was being discontinued and that in the past there had been a bubbleroon. Glad the kitchen team brought this one back for the box! It’s sweet and fruity, coconutty without any coconut ingredients and super moisturising with cocoa butter, avocado butter, and shea butter as well as fresh avocado and banana. I just love bubbleroons so can’t wait to get this one in my bath (maybe with one of my stashed Yuzu & Cocoa bath bombs!)

Aqua Mirablis is the one product I didn’t vote for this month so it was disappointing to see it turn up but its not bad! It smells delicious and is a body butter with cocoa and almond butters as well as exfoliating ground almond shells and sandalwood and rose oils. I’m not sure if I will use it as I’m very much in love with my Lime Bounty body butter!

The new product is a gorgeous bath bomb called Diamond Dust which is cream and pink. It has a lovely new scent that is a sweet floral with earthy undertones. It reminds me of an aftershave my dad used to have when I was a child but its such a subtle and soft tone, combined with a more sherbet-like floral.
The bath bomb contains neroli, ylang-ylang, black pepper, sandalwood and vetivert oils.
I can’t wait to see how sparkly it is in the bath!

This is such a bath-heavy box so some may be disappointed if they prefer showers but I’m quite pleased!
I have heard that some people have been getting special boxes as thanks for subscribing from the start and not skipping any boxes. It looks like they get a special gold lined insert and a personalised Avoshower bottle! I didn’t subscribe for the first few months and skipped 2 boxes so just got the standard one.
What are your faves from the box? Would you like to see Diamond Dust in stores?
